Therapy with me is a conversation. It’s not about me having all the answers or telling you what to do. It’s about us sitting together, looking at what’s happening inside, and figuring out ways to make life feel more manageable. You can show up exactly as you are, no pretenses, no expectations. That’s how real progress happens.
We’ll also take a close look at the thoughts, feelings, and experiences you’ve been carrying, kind of like opening up a heavy backpack you’ve had for years. Inside, there are things that are meaningful and important, shaping who you are and that we can hold onto because they still serve you. There are things you’ve outgrown, habits or beliefs that no longer fit, and we can leave those behind. And there are the things that are not helpful, the weights that just slow you down, that we can sort through and decide how to let go of. Some of these might be fears you’ve acted on without thinking, ways you’ve avoided things that feel uncomfortable, or beliefs that no longer match the person you are today. We’ll take it step by step, no pressure, no rush, just careful, steady attention. The goal is not to fix everything at once. It is to make space for clarity, honesty, and choice. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of what matters, what you want to keep, and what you are ready to set down.
I have advanced training in anxiety treatment, which means we can use proven tools to work with intrusive thoughts and worries that show up out of nowhere. These are the thoughts that make your heart race while you’re just sitting on the couch, that make you avoid things that feel scary, or that make things feel off in a way you cannot quite put your finger on. We’ll learn how to recognize them, work with them, and respond in ways that let you move through life instead of being stopped by them.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, sleep difficulties, relationship struggles, grief, life transitions, substance use, low self-esteem, divorce, and parenting stress. Everyone is welcome here, including LGBTQ+ clients, and my practice is affirming of all identities and life experiences.
